Soldier walking on wooden track

Poem – A Soldier’s Heart

A poetess expresses her dream of joining the army.

We got freedom served on a platter,
Let’s value it as a fact of the matter.
How I wish I want to fly
If only I had access to the sky.
I yearn to be born in a womb,
With brave thoughts and courageous plume.
I want to join Army,
For I want to serve humanity.
I might not live for long,
For I know where I belong.
If by mistake a bullet stung,
For sure it’s got the lung.
My batch would march along,
While praying lips keep throng.
The freedom now I got,
Will make you cry a lot.
